Early 2012 Eric will be taking a 30 day sabbatical. And that gives us plenty of time to save for our family trip to Italy - home of both of our ancestors. You'd think we were going tomorrow with how excited we are. And we even have an Italy savings account with auto deduction from our bank accounts (beyond our little jar on the dryer).
It's no wonder why Eric was drawn to this Italian couple who visited the restaurant last week. (Not sure why they decided to frequent an Italian restaurant on their trip to Nashville, but they did) Eric helped them get a taxi... here you have to call and wait...there, I guess you can just whistle on the street.
He must have made an impression because 2 days later, he received a message to his personal Facebook account:
Dear Eric,
we're the two italian tourists that you recently helped to find a taxi after our shopping in Green Hills Mall...do you remember? We were so late because of a meeting in our hotel in Nashville (Loews Vanderbilt). You've been so kind and gave us a full-filled bag of your special italian dishes. When we finally reached the hotel and met our friends we discovered that they were very hungry (they were waiting 4 us) and so they appreciated your special gift!
Dont't worry about our late mail but now we're in Mississippi travelling to New Orleans.
So...many many thanks, it's rare to find someone like you.

So how about that? We are both excited that an experience with Eric and our very own Nashville Carrabba's might be published in a place we want to be. Fun stuff! Way to represent the USA Eric :-)
