This is what all the houses look down the road...one after one, all gutted, personal belongings thrown across the front yards. Turns out our neighborhood was one of the hardest hit neighborhoods besides downtown... Anderson Cooper was here yesterday. A cow was found just chilling on the top of a building. Apparently, he eventually fell down and wandered into the pastures.
Eric and his crew served food at the Red Cross Shelter at Lipscomb University, and the most amazing sight is all the "troops" of volunteers that come and bust out the work. Our church has been meeting since Tuesday, dividing into teams, and then they tackle and conquer.
We have a 6 o'clock curfew... the police circle the subdivision as all the houses are abandoned, and so many personal belongings just thrown out in the front yard.
One thing is for sure... this city is determined to get back to normal...while the economy here relies so much on tourism, you can bet there will be some amazing concerts this summer. Looking forward to it!

Shocking and devasting. Our hearts go out to all that have suffered losses. This is not unlike the hurricanes we have experienced here in Florida. It nevers ceases to amaze me how strangers pull together in times of peril. I have met some truly wonderful people while voluntering to hand out food, water and supplies during the aftermath of our storms. It is so sad that it has to take such peril to bring us together. If we could only have that brotherhood during better times it would be a different world. Proud of you guys for helping out. Love and prayers to you. Dad and Grace
I have been googling and you tubing all week about Nashville. I agree...so devastating.
